We need you! It takes lots of people with lots of different skills to meet the needs of our community. You can make a difference by investing just an hour or two of your time (although we’ll take more!). Please contact us for more information or look through our volunteer application to find the right fit.
Receptionist/Office Work: Each day we need dependable, friendly office assistants to answer phones, help with mailings, greet walk-ins, and assist with correspondence and bookkeeping. We hope to coordinate a regular schedule of volunteers to cover the front from 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, Monday through Thursday. We provide training and offer morning, mid-day and closing shifts to work with the schedule of every volunteer. Spanish skill not required, but preferred.
Community Action Council: In order to best serve this neighborhood, we seek the guidance of its residents. We are currently seeking a team leader to build this crucial component. Must be a resident of or employed in Anaheim.
Class Aid: Get out supplies, set up the room, check people in, provide general assistance as needed for the teacher/facilitator.
Curriculum Development: If you have a background in life coaching, secondary education, vocational training, or career counseling we need your input in helping us strengthen that portion of our program.
Facility Management: Help us make a good first impression to those who visit us at the Harbor House by keeping up with basic landscaping, inside decor, janitorial services, and periodic work days and special projects.
Special Events: Throughout the year we organize a variety of one-time events and programs for specific groups. We’d love your help in planning and implementing these events.
